4-H Agent Sarah Kocher is available to help members work on their project records this fall and early winter as the end of the 2022 moves into sight. Three (roughly monthly) sessions have been set to help members complete their project records with ease.

Project record sessions from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Caldwell County Meeting Rooms, below the library in Lenoir:

  • Introduction to 4-H project records – Thursday, September 22
  • Writing your story for 4-H project records – Thursday, October 27
  • Finishing your 4-H project record – Thursday, December 8

Project records are a written summary of 4-H work and accomplishments from the year. There are different project record forms for each of the following age groups: 5-7*, 8-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-18 (age determined as of January 1 of the current year).

Youth and families can also set up separate appointments to get help from Sarah or their Club Leaders.

Some frequently asked questions:

Robbie Denning and Kristy Brown work with 4-H member Keagan on club paperwork.

Each session will be held at the Caldwell County Meeting Rooms (below the library in Lenoir). We’ll start with a very short presentation on project records, and then time will be used to complete or update sections in a relaxed environment.

Youth do not have to stay for the full session, if that does not work best for them. Although sessions will relate to one another, attendance at all three is not required.

In summary, 4-H members should start working on their project records for 2022 now, so they can show off their hard work and finish their project records on time for county awards.
